Brave Leo is an AI assistant built directly into the Brave browser for desktop, Android, and iOS. It lets you ask questions, summarize webpages, PDFs, Google Docs and Sheets, translate or analyze text, generate content such as articles and emails, and get coding suggestions without leaving the tab. Leo uses Brave Search to enrich answers with current information and offers multiple models from Mixtral, Anthropic's Claude, and Meta's Llama. Privacy is central: chats are not retained or shared for model training, no account is required for the free experience, and chat history is stored locally. Users can personalize responses with preferences, use temporary chats, organize tabs, and bring their own local or remote models. Leo is free to use, with an optional Premium subscription for more models and higher usage limits.
